about this blog

This blog is about my life and things I want to write about, written for whomever is interested in reading it.

From my early teens up until I was 20 I was a religious blogger, going through various accounts and platforms as I grew and my attitude towards the medium changed. Around my 20th birthday I signed off, ending the life of public visibility, convinced blogging was meant for passive aggressive posts to angst-ridden teenagers.

Now I am looking for ways to keep in touch with friends since I moved across the Atlantic, from Boston to London, in September 2010. Originally Facebook proved a great medium for this, but I’d like to do more than spew random thoughts or pictures. (Twitter and Instagram can do that in a more controlled way) I’d like to share stories about what’s happening in my life in a way that only blogging makes efficient. I’d also like to write coherently about things I like, such as the #katiesburritomission project I embarked on during 2011.

Expect photo-filled posts about art, relationships, friends, family, personal adventures, life observations, food and everything in between. I aim to post weekly, though there will be weeks you’ll get way more content than this and others where you’ll get less. (It’s up to my discretion, really, which is actually based on how much time I have to write.)

Enjoy!
