Here it is: another post about what I think is beautiful at museums! And in case you’re joining this blog for the first time: no, I’m not talking about the art.

At the British Museum you’ll find what is debatably the best collection of stolen art, some of which is considered historically important (the Rosetta Stone) and some of the most beautiful (Parthenon – or Elgin? – Marbles). Much of it has contributed to our understanding of cultures and traditions past.

I won’t lie to you: the collection is incredible and definitely worth a visit (or ten) to truly take it in. Just make sure you keep your eye out for these treasures:

Greek style border along the stairwell

Flowers along the handrail
