Review: My Little Box by Diane von Furstenberg

My Little Box review DVF 1

Towards the end of last month I read Elle Field’s review of her October My Little Box and immediately decided I needed to get involved. I mean, a lifestyle box collaboration with DVF that also includes beauty products? How could I not! And so, just two weeks after signing up my box arrived at my office yesterday. A lovely Monday pick-me-up if I do say so myself…

My Little Box review DVF 8Inside this box I received a 75ml sample of the Kérastase Laque Noire hairspray (£16.60 for 300ml from Feel Unique), 12ml sample of L’Occitane Shea Vanilla Bouquet Hand Cream (£8 for 30ml from L’Occitane), 150ml full size bottle of My Little Beauty Eau Micellaire (£8 from My Little Corner – though sadly they don’t currently ship to the UK outside of the products included in My Little Box! – for 150ml), a Diane von Furstenberg scarf (I am the most excited about this, if I’m honest, and instantly tied it up in my hair!), an illustrative print by Kanako (which will be getting framed!), My Little World Magazine and a kiss from Diane… in the form of a lovely broach!

But it’s not just pretty at face value – oh no! To be totally honest, this little box packs a powerful punch. The hand cream brings some softness back to my freshly-chapped-by-this-new-autumnal-weather hands, the eau micellaire effortlessly removes my waterproof mascara and the hairspray keeps my curls from getting frizzy without feeling stiff (result!). Then there’s the whole business of the little doodads and accessories – and the petite magazine with makeup, hair and scarf tying tutorials! – that just makes me smile.

So I’ve got to say it: I’m over the moon with this first box, and I’m really looking forward to what comes in the November one.

My Little Box runs on a subscription service and costs £11 per month plus £3.95 P&P. For more info, check out the My Little Box subscription area.
