It was just last week that I returned from Cannes for a work business trip, so it was perfect timing that the May My Little Box arrived while I was pining for the fresh seaside air and French atmosphere. Even more perfect was the theme of the box: My Little Provence Box. What better way to kick to the post-France blues?
For May the idea is that Provence is a state of mind, and with the illustrations, magnets and photos in My Little World I can certainly imagine myself back in the south of France! And completely on-theme this month’s box features a host of L’Occitane en Provence products.
Instead of the usual three full-sized beauty items, this month we received five mini items: The Amazing Pencil by My Little Beauty (though this may actually be a full size product – I’m not entirely sure!), Mer & Mistral Shower Gel by L’Occitane, Roses et Reines Hand and Nail Cream by L’Occitane, Verbena Body Lotion by L’Occitane and Verbena Leaf Soap by L’Occitane. The lifestyle extras were cute My Little Doll Magnets by My Little Corner and an Embroidery Cuff by My Little Corner.
Sadly, I wasn’t thrilled with this month’s box. I didn’t love seeing so many mini products, and L’Occitane is a brand I’ve been finding myself struggling to like lately. Over the past couple of years I’ve sampled many of their products, often falling in love quite quickly, only to realise by the end of the sample that it’s not actually a product that works well for me and discarding it. (The exemptions so far are their hand & foot creams, which I really like!)
Regardless, I think the cuff is a super sweet idea and once I have a chance to do the cross stitching to customise it for myself I know I’ll be wearing it lots. 🙂 Now all I need is a bit of inspiration and time…
