Decembre – My Little Magic Box

Call Me Katie - My Little Box December 2015 - My Little Magic Box Review - 01

December is party season, and My Little Box is in getting in the spirit with a box of magic. No, not that kind of magic – there are no hat tricks here! Just glitter, sparkle, fun and the type of magic that accompanies sipping champagne with your nearest and dearest. Here’s what I found in my December box.

While  it doesn’t happen every month, I always enjoy when the sides of the box are decorated. And this month, I’d be happy to pop a cork and join in the (illustrated) festivities!

That’s right – with a specially downloaded app several elements of the box can spring to life! Less of a trick of the eye and more a bit of technological marvel. (I won’t ruin the surprise if you haven’t checked this out yet!)

The first two things in my box were these super sweet mittens by My Little Corner and 25g of Kusmi Tea in Imperial Label.

The Imperial Label is a blend of green tea with orange, cinnamon and liquorice, and it smells perfect for winter. I’ll be saving this for cosy days at home during the Christmas holidays.

The mittens can be worn fingerless or covered, which is ideal for phone usage outside, obviously – a girl needs to Instagram!

For the past few months I’ve been searching for a new makeup bag, and this one ticks almost all my boxes: it’s cute, canvas and the size I’m after! The only thing missing is a pretty lining, but I’m happy to let that slide.

Nail polish seems to be a staple in these boxes, and this month is no exception – though it is the first My Little Beauty branded polish I’ve received.

Navy (‘Night’) and the glittering gold (‘Sparkling’) are not only great colours for party season, but also versatile enough to be worn throughout the year – Sparkling as an accent on any playful mani, and Night is a staple winter colour.

Too Faced is a brand I’ve heard a lot about, but yet to try; back when I was a teen it was mentioned in many of the makeup blogs on LiveJournal. This was before online shopping was the norm and I didn’t know of any stockists near me, so I let the brand pass me by.

While I’m not sold on the colour of this Melted Lipstick  (I tend to prefer classic reds and deep berries), I am super excited to try out my first Too Faced product.

Surprise surprise, another body cream! I’ve yet to finish the lotion from my October box, so I’ll be popping this one by Rituals in the cupboard for now. The scent is really light and delicate, which I’m really loving at the moment.

And there you have it – the contents of my Decembre My Little Magic Box! This month my favourite items were the tea, mittens and makeup bag. Which items were you most excited about?
