This month Jeff and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary with a boozy brunch at Foxlow in Clerkenwell, which is the sister restaurant to Hawksmoor.
We came around 11am for our brunch, and got a cosy table by the window. But while we were browsing the brunch menu I couldn’t help but notice the mains, and now I think we need to plan a dinner date night here!
Because it was brunch, and of course our anniversary brunch, all my intentions of a Dry January went straight out the window in about .00000001 seconds.
Why, hello there Bay Bridge! This delicious cocktail has Pisco, mint, green tea and frozen grapes. Delish!
And Jeff had the pretty pink Bleeding Heart, made with run, raspberry shrub, rosemary and soda.
Then it was time for the mains!
Jeff went for the Fried Chicken, Egg & Croissant Waffle, while I got the Moroccan Eggs & Sobrassada Toast.
How perfect does that poached egg look? And yes, it all tasted just as good as it looked!
And then before we left, the lovely guys at Foxlow gave us each a glass of bubbly on the house.
Happy anniversary, Jeff! Now, let’s come back soon so I can try the Shaky Pete’s Ginger Brew, Smokestack Mary and Foxy Lady cocktails that all look amazing, along with the dinner food… Say yes please?
Have you brunched at Foxlow? Where are your favourite London brunch spots?
Congratulations on three years!! Your brunch looks AMAZING!
