Mars 2016: My Little Bubble Box

This month My Little Box is embracing all things big, bubbly and bright. And with a letter from the editor moaning about morning people (*gloats* I’m one of those – 6am yoga? Yes, please!) and their early morning chirpiness, this theme seems like my thing…

Ta da! This month’s My Little Box…

…perfected with a bubblegum and cotton candy colour palette. And a nod to the 1980s.

BE wild! The first item of the Bubble box is a balloon to help us get that early morning party started.

My Little World is also bubble themed, with features on pop art, how to’s with this month’s beauty products and editorials with fun clothes from Lazy Oaf, Monki, THE WHITEPEPPER and others.

This month’s lifestyle extra – I wonder what’s inside?

Un, deux, trois, quatre… four beauty products this month!

First up is the Pschtt Magique Nouvelle Peau by Garancia with a limited edition label featuring Kanako’s illustrations. This Japanese beauty inspired micropeeling treatment contains no abrasive particles or glycolic acid, and is designed to work in 30 seconds. Safe for sensitive skin, it acts as a cleanser to help improve skin texture.

Then we have a flashy Givenchy Noir Couture Volume Mascara in sample size. I’m running low on mascara, so I’m exited to pop this in my makeup bag.

This month there were two My Little Beauty products: a Bubble Blush and a makeup sponge.

The Bubble Blush is safe for use on lips and cheeks, and comes out a purple-pink that reminds me of the 1980s. (Retro!) I don’t typically use stains, but they’re good to have on hand for those hot summer days when powder feels stifling!

With a nod to a popular beauty favourite (*ahem*) I’m a bit surprised to see this in the box! While I’ve got two of the branded version, it’s nice to have a new one that’s free of the stains of makeup past. (No matter how often I wash them, how hot the water or how sudsy the soap, it seems as though, given enough time, the stains remain!)

Finally: we have a brush!

I’ve not received a brush in a My Little Box before, so it’s nice to see something different.

However, as someone with curly hair I can’t remember the last time I used a brush! I think I’ll use this one to attempt finger waves, though it may be moving on to a home with more brush-friendly heads of hair.

I’m really excited that this month’s box contained so many items – and types of items – that I haven’t received from My Little Box before. While I don’t love the 1980s throwback (granted, I’m probably a bit too old to get excited by an 80s throwback and a bit too young to reminisce…), I though it was an interesting way to tie the theme together. And it worked.

Much love, Katie xo
