This month’s My Little Box theme is all about la dolce vita and a tribute to all things Italian.

And as much as I love that effortless French cool, there’s something to be said about Italian glamour.

So let’s see what’s in store for May!

We have another Kanako print, and as much as I appreciate the sentiment I’ll have to beg to differ; I prefer French. It reminds of my childhood. But I’m happy to agree to disagree here, because every language sounds beautiful when kind words are being spoken.

We have another issue of My Little World, and I love that we’re already considering food with the front cover. Fingers crossed for yummy recipes inside!

Let’s go for the little one first.

Time to wear this lovely everyday until my finger turns green and falls off.

Flipping through My Little World and I think I know what’s in here…

… and I guessed correctly! A lovely turban scarf with an elasticated band to make it even easier to secure. (If you’ve ever tied a scarf around your head and hoped it’d stay in place all day then you’ll know how many hair grips are needed to keep it in place.

And now for my favourite part: the beauty products.

First up: perfume! This sample size of La Fille de l’Air by Courregès smells simply divine. A combination of bergamot and orange blossom, it’s wonderfully light and breezy but also so grown up. A few spritzes and I’m already figuring out when I could swing the €69 per 50ml (October, by the way, depending on how many holidays I go on this summer!).

Then we’ve got an illuminating moisturiser for legs. I’m not sure why my legs need a specific moisturiser, but considering how often I apply body lotion (i.e.: daily) I’m not about to turn my nose up at this! Just as long as my legs don’t mind sharing this lotion with my arms and back and belly and feet and…

Finally, we have a body oil by Baija. The last time we received a Baija item it was a body lotion with an intoxicatingly delicious, fruity scent. I was a fan of that lotion, so was excited to spot this in the May box. Like face masks, body oil is something I’m all Oh, that’s a great product to have! I should totally put that in my routine, about, and then reality kicks in: it’s been about 6 months since I remembered I bought that bottle of Nuxe in Paris last year.

Anyway, it smells great and hopefully I get a bit more organised about using body oils – they’re fantastic!
