LCD Soundsystem has been one of my favourite artists since high school (I’m showing my age, here!), and when I saw they were playing Lovebox this year on the Saturday there was no way I was going to miss it. Also, I wanted to make sure I got in at least one festival this year, and since we’d missed out on Glasto tickets and are travelling for most of the others happening in London it seemed like a win-win. Day festivals are a great opportunity for going glam, so I went all-out with glitter, gemstones, false lashes and a bright lip! It was one of the hottest days we’ve had all summer, so I kept it cool with shorts and a crop top. While I loved how this outfit looked with my gold sandals, I wasn’t about to spend an entire day at Victoria Park with a crowd of people in shoes that would leave my feet exposed to trampling while dancing – so the gold trainers came out! (And despite wearing SPF 50 I ended up with a sneaker tan that I still haven’t evened out.) Cider was drunk, chips were scoffed and I danced like a crazy lady in the sunshine and it was oh so much fun.
