Call Me Katie - Instagramable Spots in Paris - Eiffel Tower peaking over a building

Back in December I was in the USA for Christmas, telling my family how easy it was to get to Paris from London. To prove the point, I went to the Eurostar site to look up the length of the train journey and noticed they had just launched one of the infamous super cheap sales. Immediately I pulled out my bank card, plugged in my details, and all of a sudden I had weekend tickets to Paris. As well as the duration of train journey that I was looking up in the first place.

Here’s what I got up to during that March weekend in Paris…

In Paris, we visited all of our favourite spots: a stroll through Montmartre to see the Sacre Coeur (from the steps you can see the sinking house!) and Maison Rose, another walk along the Seine and Tuileries Garden towards the Louvre, lunches at Hotel du Nord and Paris New York, dinner at Bofinger, and then we needed to get a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower!

We were there for 1 night, so it was light packing with versatile items. I brought: three v-neck vest tops (one white, one black, one forest green in velvet), grey Levi skinny jeans, gold pleated trousers from Topshop, a fedora from Zara, a Kate Spade handbag (via outlet shopping in the USA!), a thick striped sweater by Suncoo, a fringed kimono jacket, a faux fur coat, Converse High Tops and ASOS platform sandals. It looks like a lot written out, but it all fit nearly in our carryon size luggage alongside every that J wanted to pack with room to spare. And what’s more it was all perfect for mixing and matching – an ideal weekend capsule collection.

And of course, a trip to Paris wouldn’t be complete without shopping. I made away like a bandit at the French pharmacy (Galenic cleansing milk and argan oil cleanser, Nuxe dry oil, Serozinc, Biotherm cleansing milk, and Ducray serum and cream) before we went to the grocery store to buy wine for the house (3 bottles, each €3) and stock up on pear jam.

Where are you favourite dinner spots in Paris? Do you love shopping in Paris as much as I do? Let me know!

Much love, Katie xo
