Round 2: Delarom’s Face Cleansing Gel and Hydrating Balancing Aroma

The second set of products that I tried from the Urban Retreat beauty blogging gift bag were the Delarom Face Cleansing Gel and Hydrating Balancing Aroma.

I set out with the intentions of trying these products together for two solid weeks, but found that the more I used the gel cleanser the tighter my skin felt. It’s unfortunate because it’s meant to be a great product for sensitive skin, but conversely I’ve always had issues using gel products on my skin. (I’m not sure why, but gel products always make my skin feel too tight!)

Instead I’ve designated my sample of the Face Cleansing Gel to my hot yoga kit because it travels well, is great in the shower, and I feel like it gives a good deep clean. Using it two to three times a week after class seems to be the right amount for me, and my skin is happier for it.

The Hydrating Balancing Aroma, on the other hand, has been more of a success with my finicky skin. I’ve been using 4-5 drops at night and 1-2 drops in the morning before applying makeup, and my skin seems happy. It’s not my personal favourite facial oil, but it does the trick!

Overall I’d say these products do their job, but aren’t quite right for me. So while I’ll happily use up the samples I have, I’ve not yet decided if I’ll be replacing them once they run out.

If you’d like to try these yourself, you can get the Delarom Face Cleansing Gel here (£18.50 for 125ml) and Hydrating Balancing Aroma here (£44 for 15ml).

Please note: while the products mentioned in this blog post were gifts, the views expressed are my own.
