Trying out the Zephorium Emerald Crystal Face Serum

Call Me Katie - Zephorium Soul Tonic - Emerad Crystal - Avocado Oil, Jasmin Oil - Balance & Protection - Face Serum

Because I’m a yogi and beauty lover, I was excited to meet the team behind Zephorium at the Cam Expo last month. Zephorium positions itself as a luxury range of natural skincare and lifestyle products based on energy attraction and positive thinking.

As someone who takes my pre-yoga practice affirmation and skincare seriously, I was keen to learn more and see if their products were really all that great. To find out, I was gifted an Emerald Crystal Face Serum*, which is meant to be good for mature and de-hydrated skin.

Zephorium was launched in 2012 by Sarah Cox, a spiritual teacher and motivational speaker, so it’s not a surprise that there’s a lot of back story behind each of the products! Made in England, these serums and oils are hand blended in West Sussex. They say: each bottle posses a powerful combination of ingredients, aromatherapy blends, colour, homeopathic cyrstals and affirmations that all compliment the chakras. I’ll be honest with you – homeopathy isn’t my thing, but I can appreciate the effort and thought that’s gone in to the product development.

The Emerald Crystal Face Serum* is designed to help hydrate the skin with avocado oil. While I don’t have mature skin yet, I do struggle with dehydrated skin, and especially so in winter. It also contains jasmine oil, which I find can help create a relaxing experience. This serum is designed to align with Heart Chakra, which is all about love and compassion. It doesn’t actually include a physical emerald crystal in the bottle, but the inclusion is intended to help open the heart to unconditional love and help build relationship stability and loyalty. It’s affirmation is: I am in the perfect balance, giving and receiving love in equal measure. And if organic is your thing, they claim to include 85% organic ingredients.

I’ve been using 1-2 drops of the Emerald Crystal Face Serum* nightly as the last step in my skin care routine (1. balm cleanse 2. milk cleanse 3. tone 4. hydration spritz 5. eye cream), and I really enjoy the scent of the product. It feels rich and luxurious against my fingertips as I massage it in, which is a wonderfully relaxing experience before bed. I’m delighted to say that, by morning, my skin has looked refreshed and rejuvenated. And with continuos use I’ve found my skin looks much more hydrated and vibrant. I’ve also noticed that it’s helped with any redness associated with spots.

Overall I’m a fan of this product, and it’s sitting proudly in my medicine cabinet next to my other nighttime facial serums. I’ve been swapping it in and out depending on what my skin needs that day, and my skin looks better for it.

Please note: while the products marked with a star (*) in this blog post were gifts, the views expressed are my own.
