Facial oils have been a staple part of my routine ever since I met with Caroline Hirons over a year ago and she convinced me to start using them. Now I’m hooked and for every skin occasion – dehydrated, oily, irritated, tired, whatever! – I’ve got an oil to help me out.
So I’m excited to say I’ve been trying out organic skincare brand Melvita’s new Rose+ Rejuvenating Light Facial Care Oil* ahead of it’s launch at the end of this month.
The Rose+ Light Face Care Oil* is a rejuvenating light and dry-touch finish face oil (so no sticky finish!) that combines the moisturising benefits of Rose hip oil with a powerful vegetal origin NEO-LASTINE to help visibly reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Three drops can be used either in the morning (under face cream / before makeup) or as a night treatment, and also as a mask (evenly apply 12 drops for 10 minutes, then wipe off excess oil with a cotton wool).
I’ve been using the Rose+ Facial Oil for a couple weeks in the evening as the final step after using a floral spray. The first thing I noticed was how delicious (it’s not food, but I’m still going to use that word here!) this oil smelled. Wonderfully floral but not too much. Many facial oils don’t smell great (but let’s be honest – since when does oil smell great?!) so that was a lovely surprise.
Three drops go a long way (so this little bottle will last for ages!) and soak into skin quickly. My skin looks nicely plump with a little glow while I’ve been using this oil.
The Melvita range is available from the Melvita website, John Lewis and feelunique.com, and I’ve been told this facial oil will be available at Marks & Spencer from 31 March!
Much love, Katie xo
