It may be summer, it may be August, but you’d barely know it living in London – it’s been so chilly and rainy! I know, I know London has a reputation for being rainy. But it still feels like a tease! Anyhow, a little rain won’t hurt and I don’t melt so I wasn’t about to let the weather keep me indoors, so earlier this week I traded my denim jacket for this rain jacket by Lighthouse* (I love how happily yellow it is – and the colour is actually called sunbeam on their site!) for an evening walk with Jeff after work. It was drizzling, and then not, and then drizzling again so I was a bit lackadaisical with the use of my umbrella and hood, opting to be goofy and work off some energy from a busy day at work!
Lighthouse is a fairly new British brand, with all of their products designed in Belfast, and when I was out in the Lake District back in June (I know – I’ve really got to write about that!) I saw them sold in most of the shops while Jeff and I were out walking and thought they’d make really great jackets for fell walking or my next camping festival. (*Crosses fingers for Glasto tickets in this year’s sale.*) I normally wear a size 8, but this jacket is fitted so I sized up to give myself enough room to fit a jumper underneath and allow a bit more space for arm movement, which is essential when dancing in a rainy field! It’s cute and bright and totally practical – which is how I roll.
Much love, Katie xo
