In July Jeff and I went for a weekend date in east London, starting out at Hoi Polloi for brunch (poached eggs and avocaodo on toast? Yes please!), followed by a stroll through Parasol Unit galleries for the Rana Begum: The Space Between exhibition. I’d bought this outfit in the June sales (which means the skirt is a size too big – it was the last one on the rack but I love it so much I’m willing to overlook that! Also it was 50% off. Score!) but had been saving it for an occassion where I wanted to feel special, and thought this was the right time. I’d been planning to wear it with cowgirl boots, but switched to the gold trainers at the last minute because I knew we were going to do so much walking. I love how delicate this outfit is, and the shapes it makes when I move. We’re off to Barcelona soon, and I’d be surprised if this outfit didn’t make it into my luggage!
