Meeting Caudalíe… and trying out the Rose de Vigne Shower Gel, Make-up Removing Cleansing Oil and Glycolic Peel

Caudalíe has been one of my favourite skincare brands ever since my French pharmacy shopping experience, so when I met several of the team behind the brand at the Professional Beauty Show I was properly fan-girling. Luckily for me they weren’t weirded out, and even indulged me with a chat!

This post is a little writeup about some of the products I was gifted that day…

Rose de Vigne Shower Gel*

I’ve been enjoying rose shower gels recently, and this soap-free formula (making it ideal for sensitive skin) is enriched in aloe vera. The scent reminds me of the shampoos my older sister used to buy in the 1990s, and Caudalíe describes this scent as a combination of white musk, neroli flower and ginger. My skin feels clean afterwards, with non of the tightness or irritation I sometimes get from traditional soap cleansers. (I’ve got fairly sensitive skin!)

Make-up Removing Cleansing Oil*

Regular readers of my blog and friends who’ve braved talking with me about skincare know how much I love a cleansing oil or balm. I use them as my first cleanse in the evening to remove makeup and grime from the day, and follow up with a cleansing milk to make sure my skin is clean.

While I’ve tried a number of cleansing oils and balms, the Make-up Removing Cleansing Oil* managed to really impress me. Not only does it do a great job of breaking down my makeup and cleansing it away, but it also smells amazing with a sweet, soothing almond smell. Afterwards my skin feels nice and soft, not at all tight. I’m not sure if I should say this, but this may just be my new favourite cleansing oil / balm…

Glycolic Peel*

My skin often struggles with staying hydrated (it doesn’t matter how much water I drink…), which can leave my skin looking dull. While this mask doesn’t add moisture to my skin, it acts as a scrub and a peel and I noticed my skin looking more radiant after I’d used it.

As much as I love the idea of a facial mask, I still really struggle to find the time to apply them! Hopefully I’ll be able to change that habit because I really enjoyed this face mask and want to get in the habit of using it regularly.
