Rewearing what we own is the most sustainable option

In Donasti on Monte Urgull, Katie sits on a viewing point looking out to the see with her face in profile. Her hair is back and she wears a blue floral wrap dress and white sandals. In the 2nd and 3rd pictures she wears the same outfit at the beach with her hair down.

Another day, another old outfit. This dress is from Topshop 2017, which is a brand I stopped shopping with because of the sexual assault and racist accusations made against Philip Green. Vote with your wallet, right?

And while I put this dress away for a while, I’ve come to the conclusion that I’ve already got it and I don’t want to make trash of something that is still perfectly usable, so I’ll continue wearing it until it falls apart and can no longer be repaired.

Remember, the journey to living a more sustainable and ethical lifestyle is a learning curve, and we’re all somewhere different. And sometimes we take detours because old habits die hard. Be kind to yourself and others along the way.
