Sustainable Living: swapping plastic toothbrushes for bamboo
Did you know? 91% of our plastics don’t get recycled and are essentially waste. As part of my effort to live and shop more sustainably and more ethically, I’m questioning all of my purchasing habits – what is it made of? where is it made? who makes it? – and making a concerted effort to vote with my wallet and spend where I’m going to do the planet the least amount of harm*. I haven’t always got it … Continue reading
Changing my approach to fashion: shopping more sustainably
In the past year I’ve noticed a strong trend for more sustainable shopping practices, from brands expanding recycling schemes to major corporates backing Loop: a TerraCycle solution to close the loop on hard to recycle materials. I also find it interesting that at the same time, decluttering guru Marie Kondo has been rising to fame – most notably with her binge-worthy Netflix series.
