Tonight Kate Spade in Covent Garden hosted a small event to introduce the spring 2015 collection, which is themed around nature with leafy patterns and pops of grassy green…
I popped by Kate Spade Covent Garden’s event after work to check out the spring 2015 collection with my colleague Iona. When we arrived we were treated to bubbly and pink lemonade (prosecco for me, please!) and a mini hairstyle makeover by Webster Whiteman. (I love how they added a bit more life into my curls after a day at my desk!) Perfect for getting us in to the ‘garden party’ spirit.
Dotted around the shop from the new collection were plenty of curiously cute items and accessories that will be great for spring – ladybug clutches, flowerpot handbags, fresh green florals, snail handbags made of wicker and even a fresh green take on a classic striped top. As we wandered through I couldn’t help but imagine the sun on my face – spring is nearly here! And how ideal would a green – no, white! – tote be for carrying my laptop and notebook to the office? Or, better yet, carrying my passport and sandals to the airport for a beach getaway?
Now, I know I’m a sucker for stripes and that fit & flare dresses really suit my figure, but the highlight for me had to be the ‘the grass is always greener‘ notebook – which I totally ended up buying! It’s large but still small enough for my handbag, and will be ideal for writing down my blogging ideas and positive intentions.
I think this collection is just too cute and spot on for spring. Now to convince myself that I, in fact, don’t need another bag. But you know, I don’t have one in white…
really good post, very interesting collection indeed!! Keep it up! Come and check out my blog if you get the time, and let me know what you think! I only just recently posted my take on PFW!
Keep Blogging!
Love,
Mimi
