Review: Caudalíe Vinosource Grape Water, Moisturizing Sorbet and Moisturizing Mattifying Fluid

Call Me Katie - beauty review of Caudalie Vinosource Grape Water, Moisturizing Fluid for combination skin and Moisturizing Sorbet for sensitive skin 1

French beauty brand Caudalíe recently launched a new set of products as part of their Vinosource range (you can read about the launch here!), and I was lucky enough to be gifted the full range of moisturisers and a grape water spray. However, not all of these products are suitable for my skin type (oily, dehydrated, and on the sensitive side) so I gifted away the dry and very dry moisturisers to friends with these skin types and tried the others.

This post reviews the new Grape Water*, Moisturizing Sorbet* and Moisturizing Mattifying Fluid*.

Here’s the full range in all it’s grape-coloured glory!

These are the three new products I tried: Grape Water*, Moisturizing Sorbet* and Moisturizing Mattifying Fluid*.

To be honest, I’m not entirely sure if the Grape Water* is a new product or not. It’s featured in the press release alongside the other new products, but the sticker on the label implies that it’s the same formula as the current Grape Water.

Either way, this botanical water mist is truly refreshing! It’s meant to refresh (which it does) as it moisturises, and I love using it both pre-serum / post-toner and as a refresher throughout the day over makeup.

The Moisturizing Mattifying Fluid* is lightweight and designed to reduce excess sebum instantly, while also restoring the skin’s moisture level. It says it leaves skin looking ‘matte’, but I find that it leaves my skin with a dewy glow that isn’t shiny / doesn’t feel oily. While my skin is often more on the oily than combination side, I still like using this as an everyday moisturiser.

The Moisturizing Sorbet* is meant for dehydrated, sensitive skin. My skin is both those things, as well as oily, so I also gave this one a go. Sadly, it didn’t work out too well for me. While I didn’t have any irritation from it and my skin was more hydrated / felt super soft, it also felt more oily with prolonged use. After about a week of sampling I decided to gift it on to a better home. (i.e. someone with that skin type who will appreciate it more!)

Have you tried the new Vinosource products? Which are your favourite items by Caudalíe?

Much love, Katie xo
