Daily motivation is something I’ve struggled to find while staying so close to home for so many months, away from friends and colleagues, without the stimulation of new sights, sounds and smells, so I’ve set myself some goals to try to help with staying motivated – and one of them is to walk 100km this month. Art is also one of the things I miss the most with lockdowns, so walking 4 hours round trip in the freezing cold for this opportunity was a no brainer. Continue reading

What I wore: skinny jeans and a bomber jacket for a trip to Chinatown to celebrate the year of the dog
This weekend was the Chinese New Year, so I headed to Chinatown to celebrate the year of the dog with milk tea and red bean buns. (OK, so maybe not the most traditional for the Spring Festival, but they’re some of my favourite foods from when I visited China.) Continue reading
Wearing fringe on fringe (with fringe!) for a night out at Dishoom
Any excuse to dress up is an excuse I’m willing to take, and Saturday night dinner is always a good one! Recently for a night out I channeled my inner 1970s for a look featuring fringe on fringe with fringe (i.e. bangs, for my American friends)! Continue reading
Picture Diary: Primrose Hill & Camden Town
Spring is finally here! And while warmer weather is just around the corner, recently (while it was still winter) we had a gloriously sunny, blue sky day in London. Jeff and I took advantage with a walk from Camden up to Primrose Hill and back again, so I wanted to share with you my photo diary … Continue reading
Breakfast in the Parlour at London’s sketch
sketch has been on my list of restaurants to visit for several years now (since before I moved to London, in fact!), so recently while I was lusting over photos of the restaurant on Instagram and telling Jeff how much I wanted to get around to going to sketch one day but the dinner menu … Continue reading
Champagne Life at Saatchi Gallery, London
To commemorate Saatchi Gallery’s thirtieth birthday, Charles Saatchi is hosting his first all-female exhibition, Champagne Life, which brings together fourteen emerging female artists from around the world. I visited the other week with my friend Carmen, and here are some of the pieces that caught my eye… Continue reading

For four days, from 6:30 – 10:30pm each night, a number of art installations in Piccadilly, Regent Street and St James’s, Trafalgar Square and Westminster, Mayfair, and King’s Cross were … Continue reading
Breakfast at Dishoom
Dishoom is one of my favourite London restaurants, and I find myself there every few months for dinner or lunch to enjoy that delicious black daal. But recently Jeff & I found ourselves awake early so we decided to see what Dishoom had in the way of a breakfast service… Continue reading
Stylist Live Roundup
Stylist launched in October 2009, and since then it’s become famous for innovation and an ability to stand out and surprise. I remember my first time collecting a Stylist, picking up a copy of the freemium magazine outside Angel tube station on my way home from a class at City University for my Masters programme. Since then I’ve watched … Continue reading
Playing at The Sky Garden
The Sky Garden has been on Jeff and my London Bucket List for a while, and with summer coming to a close we decided it was time to hurry up and cross it off while the weather was still on our side… Continue reading
