I really enjoyed writing my last fashion post, What I Wore: Monki Chambray Shirt Dress, so I thought I’d do another one, this time showing one of my latest favourite weekend looks…
Shirt: Abercrombie & Fitch, similar | Shorts: American Eagle Outfitters | Jumper: Monki | Bag: Urbancode | Shoes: Marrakech Market, similar | Necklace: Delphine Pariente for My Little Box
Saturday I had plans to go out for the day, first heading over to God’s Own Junkyard before a stroll through Camden and dinner at Tonic & Remedy. The day started out sunny and warm, so I knew I wanted to get some use out of my casual shorts. But because I was going to be out so late I wanted to make sure I’d be warm for the evening, so I opted for a boyfriend style shirt and a knit jumper in hand.
Jeff took these photos of me towards the end of the afternoon, when we were in Camden market and many of the stalls were shutting down. There’s one section of the market that reminds us of Marrakech, so we always end up there! The lighting was nice, so we decided to stop for about 15 minutes for a wee photo shoot for this post without too many people around.
My outfit was really cosy, and I enjoyed how casual yet put-together I felt wearing it. Sometimes when I wear these shorts I feel a bit like a teenager (not always a bad thing!) and being petite sometimes I can get a bit ‘swallowed up’ in boyfriend style clothes. But with a warm day and dinner & drinks on the agenda, I wanted an ensemble that helped me feel a bit more sophisticated while also being practical for a day out & about. I think this combination really nailed it, and I can totally see myself wearing this again!
The pinstripes are so sophisticated!
